Block Chain Association of Uganda
As more blockchain players enter the arena, there is a need to bring everyone together. The Blockchain Association of Uganda was founded to create a haven for all blockchain practitioners in Uganda and East Africa.
The members-only body is dedicated to advancing blockchain technology in Uganda by bringing together individuals and teams that are passionate about related technologies.
With emerging technologies, there is a need to have a central place to build synergy and regulate the players. Most of the blockchain-related technologies are still in their infant stage and a lot of support is needed to enable startups to grow and thrive. Some of the members include Cryptosavvanah, blockdojo, BSV Blockchain, Capital Savvy among others.
The association which is made up of members from different professional backgrounds such as technology, finance, law, and entrepreneurship, is pushing for the adoption and integration of blockchain technology across different sectors to drive economic growth, enhance transparency and foster trust.
They envision Uganda to be a premier hub for blockchain and emerging technologies in Africa, fostering a dynamic ecosystem that champions innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship. So far, the association runs two pragmatic programs through which it creates impact. These are; the Blockchain Innovation Program and the annual Kampala Blockchain Summit.
