The upcoming Technology and Robotics Bootcamp, spearheaded by Shariff Akakwasa, CEO of Hii5 Radio, in collaboration with Nirere Shamim of Izere Education, is set to ignite a technological revolution in Kanungu district. Scheduled for this month from 19th Jan to 25th Jan, the bootcamp aims to empower young minds with critical digital skills to thrive in a rapidly evolving world.

“Technology is more than just a tool; it’s the foundation of how we advance as a society,” Akakwasa said during the press conference, emphasising the importance of equipping youth with skills like coding, artificial intelligence, robotics, problem-solving and more.

Participants will get into hands-on tech skills training, offering an immersive learning experience designed to inspire innovation. “These aren’t just technical skills—they’re the keys to unlocking opportunities in today’s digital economy,” Akakwasa added.

Participants will work on group projects that apply their newfound skills to real-world challenges, culminating in a showcase of solutions developed during the camp.

“This is about preparing young people to not only use technology but to create it,” a representative from Izere Education remarked, highlighting the broader vision of fostering tech-driven entrepreneurs and innovators in the region.
