Born in 1991 in Nigeria, Yele Bademosi’s trajectory from a medical student to a tech visionary says alot about his commitment to leveraging technology for economic empowerment in Africa. Initially enrolled at King’s College London for medical studies, Bademosi’s passion for technology led him to pivot towards app development and design. He honed his skills in iOS development and UX/UI design, laying the foundation for his future endeavors in the tech industry. ​
Bademosi’s early career included a role as General Manager at Starta, an online platform supporting African entrepreneurs. Recognizing the challenges faced by early-stage startups, he founded Microtraction in 2017, an angel investing firm that provides seed capital to African startups. Microtraction has since funded numerous startups, including 54gene, ThankUCash, and CowryWise.
In 2019, Bademosi became the first Director at Binance Labs, focusing on developing Africa’s blockchain ecosystem. During his tenure, he incubated several blockchain projects, contributing to the growth of the crypto landscape on the continent. ​
That same year, he founded Bundle Africa, a social payments app aimed at simplifying crypto transactions for Africans. After stepping down as CEO in 2021, Bademosi co-founded Nestcoin, a company focused at building Web3 applications and investing in startups that align with its mission. Nestcoin has launched initiatives like Breach, a media platform for crypto education, and Metaverse Magna (MVM), a gaming guild that enables users to earn income through play-to-earn games. ​
